What is the open Grand Prix?
Our Equipment , Our Karts, all you need to do is turn up and race!
Weight requirement: 65+ Kilograms. This includes your racewear (helmet, overalls etc…)
The open Grand Prix is held once a month and gives you the chance of racing against like minded racing-enthusiasts.
- Sunday mornings
- 9am arrival, approx. 11am finish
- 14+ years
- Clerk of the circuit to decide on track layout
- Up to 18 drivers
Race format
- Grid Start
- 5 Lap Qualifying
- 20 Lap Race 1
- 20 lap Race 2
In the event of wet weather the races will be 30 minutes each.
The grid formation for Race 1 is based on qualifying position, the grid for Race 2 is done in reverse order of the first race result.
If the pole position driver for race 2 isn’t with 10% of the fastest lap they cannot start on pole
Karts are chosen randomly for each race, you cannot have the same kart for both races.
